A gear tray 3 is hingedly mounted in the housing 1 of a fluorescent light fitting by means of pins 4 at each end of the tray engaging holes formed at the ends of spring strips 5 fixed to the housing. The hinge connection may be released by flexing the spring strips so that the tray can be removed from the housing. The tray is retained in its operative position against the base of the housing by sliding bolts 10 clamped to the housing by screws 11 and adapted to overlap the edge of the tray. Resilient buffers 12 between the tray and the housing prevent undesired movement of the tray. Two trays may be provided, one at eachside of the housing. |
