PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure plane characteristic of a printing paper P in a printing unit 4 without using a suction device or with a compact suction device, in regard to an ink jet printer using a printing paper P curled by roll set. SOLUTION: A roller 73 as a rolling member is provided in a printing head 67 and rolls in the cross direction of the printing paper P by interlocking with reciprocation movement of a printing head 67 in the condition wherein the roller 73 pushes the printing paper P from a printing surface side to the opposite side. The roller 73 pushes the printing paper P to a side opposite to the roll to correct the roll set of the printing paper P formed by forming it into a roll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
