PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor comprising a stator coil being fixed to the base member of an information recorder/reproducer, and a rotor having an annular permanent magnet located oppositely to the stator coil in which occurrence of vibration and pure tone can be suppressed in the rotor hub. SOLUTION: A rotor 13 comprises a rotor hub 21, and a fluid dynamic pressure bearing 23 for supporting the rotor hub 21 rotatably. The rotor hub 21 comprises a permanent magnet 41 where a plurality of magnetic poles are arranged annularly and oppositely to a stator coil 11. The fluid dynamic pressure bearing 23 comprises a shaft 25 being secured to the rotor hub 21, and a sleeve 27 being secured to a base member 3. The base member 3 is provided with a first face 77 butting against the stator coil 11 in the axial direction, and a second face 69b butting against the sleeve 27 in the axial direction thus constituting the motor 5 for an information recorder/reproducer.
