<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pressure adjusting device of easy construction capable of enhancing the operational response at the time of braking operation. <P>SOLUTION: To a reserver tank 18 connected with a master cylinder 16, a pressure adjusting chamber 20 to adjust the internal pressure of the reserver tank 18 is connected. A pressure introducing pipe 24 to introduce the negative pressure in an intake manifold 22 is connected with this pressure adjusting chamber 20, and a pressure adjusting piston 56 in the chamber 20 works with varying negative pressure in the intake manifold 22. When the negative pressure in the intake manifold 22 becomes high with actuation of a throttle valve 48, the internal pressure of the chamber 20 becomes also high to protrude the piston 56 toward the reserver tank 18, which applies a preload to the reserver tank 18. With this preload, a preload is applied to a brake device 14 through the master cylinder 16, to block the gap between a brake pad 14b and a brake disc 14a, and the operational response at the time of braking operation is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
