PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wave guide resin film flexible enough for connecting between devices and between boards in a device, capable of easily and optically connecting between chips in the board, and capable of easily aligning the optical axes for attaining effective optical connection between mounted light emitting device or light receiving element and the optical waveguides. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide resin film is composed of a clad layer of refractive index n<SB>1</SB>, a core layer of refractive index n<SB>c</SB>, and a clad layer of refractive index n<SB>2</SB>successively laminated in this order, and the inequalities n<SB>1</SB><n<SB>c</SB>, n<SB>2</SB><n<SB>c</SB>are satisfied. Moreover, the resin film has a recess for mounting the light emitting device and/or a recess for mounting the light receiving element, and a mirror in the core layer for reflecting the coming optically waveguided light to the light receiving element and/or transmitting the light emitted from the light emitting device.
