PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a fraud may be effected in a conventional Pachinko machine if a light emission period fraudulently illuminated from the outside accords with the emission period of a light emitting element. SOLUTION: A hole 100a of a Pachinko ball detecting device 100 is provided with LEDs 101a and 101b and PDs 102a and 102b. The LEDs 101a and 101b emit lights at an emission period corresponding to oscillation signals modulated into different periods by modulation circuits 107a and 107b. A determination circuit 105 receives incident lights from the LEDs 101a and 101b, demodulates the detecting signals output from the PD 102a and 102b synchronously to the emission period of the LEDs 101a and 101b, and determines whether the Pachinko ball T passes the hole 100a of the Pachinko ball detecting device 100 or not.
