In a drawer pedestal, having drawer openings wider than the drawers, vertical strips 9 of extruded thermoplastic secured to the inner faces of the pedestal sides 1 form self-lubricating guides for the drawer and fill the gap between the pedestal side and the front 7 of the drawer. The strip has a barbed rib 10 push-fitted in a groove 11. A nylon roller 8 and a drawer guide rail 3, secured to the pedestal side, are slidably received in a groove 4 in the side 5 of the drawer, the roller abutting the drawer front 7 to limit closure of the drawer. In a modification the strip is screwed to the pedestal side. |
