<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of failure caused by the secular degradation of an adhesive by performing reinforcement depending on screwing simultaneously with applying an adhesive method in the case of attaching a housing part for an operation manual or the like to the external part of a body housing in the housing structure for an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A screw hole on a body side is provided by integrally forming a boss at a part of the external part of the housing. Then, only a lower hole for a screw is provided in the boss, and when a user actually mounts the hosing part 9 on the external part 12 of the body housing and drives the screw 10, thread is cut simultaneously, whereby the housing part is fixed through the screw. Thus, the mount strength of the housing part 9 is enhanced without providing a through-hole in the external part 12 of the body housing, and the occurrence of the failure such as the drop of the housing part 9 caused by the secular degradation of the adhesive is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
