<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality determination method of a steel product capable of performing highly accurate quality determination by taking a temperature at a proper determination portion from the surface temperature of hot rolled steel. <P>SOLUTION: A surface temperature distribution in the width direction of the hot rolled steel is measured by a radiation thermometer, and the point where temperature data are collected from the temperature distribution is set at a position shifted to the inside as much as 3-15% in the width direction from a quality control point (quarter part) for guaranteeing the qualities of materials, and the quality determination is performed, based on the temperature at the position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
