<p>In order to meet a requirement by a portable phone's tendency toward thinning due to its need of placing importance on design, a key sheet portion must be thinned as much as possible. A thin key sheet comprising a metal- or resin-made key top (2) formed on the front or rear surface thereof with displays such as characters, symbols and diagrams that indicate key functions, and a printed circuit board (5) provided on the front surface thereof with a switching element (4) for turning on/off an electric circuit by pressing onto the key top and formed with circuit patterns needed by this element, wherein a cushioning gasket (3) and a filling material layer (14) having proper elasticity and disposed between the key top and the printed circuit board are used to bond and fix the key top (2) and the printed circuit board (5) together; and a thin key unit incorporating this thin key sheet.</p> |
