摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen storage material improved in oxygen storage performance in the low-temperature area such as about 400&deg;C. <P>SOLUTION: In a composition formula ATO<SB>3</SB>(wherein T is a transition element), a perovskite type composite oxide in which A in the formula is composed of alkaline earth metals only is used for this oxygen storage material. The whole T in the above formula, for example, may be composed of Fe to be AFeO<SB>3</SB>. The oxygen storage material using the perovskite type composite oxide represented by SrFeO<SB>3</SB>or CaFeO<SB>3</SB>is preferably exemplified.
