A multiple layer panel, e.g. for vehicle bodyshell components includes an elastic thermoplastic intermediate layer (2) which accommodates shear forces and prevents thermal distortion of the panel. The thermoplastic layer can incorporate the panel colour and is covered with an outer transparent layer (1). The elastic layer can be a composite mix.
