Belt fastening for connecting two belt parts, whereby the belt fastening (1) consists of a base (4) which is firmly fixed to one far end (2) of the first belt part and of a flap or clip (5) which is hinge-mounted to the base (4) and which makes it possible to clasp the second belt part (38) in relation to the first belt part, and whereby this flap or clip (5) has a protruding part (25) in relation to the base (4), characterised in that the belt fastening (1) is provided with means in the shape of a sliding element (31) which prevents the flap or clip (5) from being opened when it is in an active position.
