The invention relates to the field of determining the stability of buildings, structures, other construction elements and technological systems and including their dynamic strength and can be used for determining stability thereof in case of appearing natural and/or man-caused dangers and working out a package of measures aimed at avoiding to establish defects and drawbacks of structures and materials. A method for determining stability of buildings and structures comprises oscillation excitation of the object to be tested on own frequencies by applying a sequence of collision momentum small amplitude, measuring oscillations using pickups, summing up oscillations by amplitude and determining the object's features according to the measured parameters of the summed oscillations. A correlation matrix of the registered oscillation recordings from the pickups is composed, correlation coefficients of the matrix are calculated and by the difference of the correlation coefficient values from different pickups judge defect's location in the object. |
