The invention relates to a flat implant which is in the form of a flat porous textile material and which consists of, at least on one side, a sealed surface which is air-tight and which comprises a non-reabsorbing impermeable layer. The flexibility of the layer is in the order of magnitude of the flexibility of the flat porous material. The implant is particularly suitable for treating postoperative hernias.
