PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a foam in a continuous foaming process. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the device and the method for manufacturing the foam in the continuous foaming process, and comprises the following steps: measuring actual surface temperatures of the foam or the facing layers along a conveying direction and determining a control variable for the foaming process as the function of a deviation of the actual surface temperature from the nominal surface temperature.
