PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel gauge pointer correction method which enables the updating of the fuel gauge pointer while the engine is working at the time of filling fuels in the cold district or the like. SOLUTION: In the fuel gauge instruction correction method for a vehicle provided with a correction control means in which a logic to prevent wrong displays due to a fluid level swing is built-in, the correction control means through the logic is so configured to be released during the time when the vehicle speed input information is acquired by detecting (step S2) an open-close motion of the lubrication flap. As a result, while even the engine is working when the open-close of the lubrication flap which is always done for lubrication is performed, the update fuel fluid level information is always and immediately acquired by releasing the logic until the driving start is executed.
