<p>The present invention relates to a detergent composition comprising an alkyl ethoxylate sulfate surfactant having an average ethoxylation level of from 1 to 5; from 1% to 8.5%, by weight of said composition, of amine oxide; and a pH from 5.5 to 8.5. The composition comprises a combined level of free fatty alcohols and sulfated alcohols of less than 3% by weight of said composition. A process of cleaning dishware with the composition is also claimed.</p>
