<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat transfer characteristic of a heat transfer device wherein a wick provided with a stack or a cone having a porous structure is installed on the bottom part of a container in which a working fluid is sealed. <P>SOLUTION: In this heat transfer device, the wick 5 having a projection part 8 projecting upward from a base layer 7 having the porous structure as a whole in contact with the bottom surface of the container 1 is arranged on the bottom part of the container 1 having a sealed structure wherein the condensing working fluid vaporized by being heated and condensed by discharging heat is sealed.
