PACKAGING CASE FOR ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a packaging case for storing an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal panel in stable manufacturing quality and at low costs.

SOLUTION: The packaging case (601) for an electro-optical device is provided with a body part (613) constituted so as to store an electro-optical panel (500) and a heat discharging blade part (614F) extended from the body part (613) to the outside of the body part (613). The body part (613) is obtained by forming a plate material by press working and the blade part (614F) is obtained by partially forming a portion of the plate material which corresponds to the peripheral edge of the body part (613) by press working.
