<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in reliability of stream data having large capacity and requiring real time property due to packet loss etc. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitting apparatus and a receiving apparatus are caused to have a plurality of connections to a network, and LPS setting etc. on an MPLS network is used to fix paths n a network between the each connection of the transmitter side and each connection of the receiver side. In a step of packetizing the data stream, the transmitting apparatus generates a plurality of packets each having the same payload data, and transmits the generated packets through each connection. The receiving apparatus uses only one packet for re-constructing the data stream from among the plurality of reception packets having the same payload data. In this way, if a fault occurs anywhere on the network or if a packet loss occurs in an apparatus in the network, the receiving apparatus can re-construct the original data stream unless a fault losing all the packets does not occur. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
