PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small capacitor with large capacity and low resistance as a capacitor designed for regeneration in a fuel-cell vehicle by solving a capacitor height restriction due to its terminal assembly structure. SOLUTION: This capacitor comprises a metal case 2 connecting the negative electrode of a capacitor element 1 and a terminal assembly 3 sealing the metal case 2 by connecting the positive electrode of the capacitor element to an inner surface. In the terminal assembly 3, the inner surface to which the positive electrode of the capacitor element 1 is connected is employed as a reference plane that is upraised toward the surface except a periphery and a stripe joint 3b towards the center, and a positive terminal 3d is provided with the surface. In this way, a distance from the positive electrode edge of the capacitor element 1 to the top of the processed metal case 2 can be extremely shortened because the reference plane of the terminal assembly 3 is a joint for the capacitor element 1, so that both large capacity and low resistance can be achieved by increasing the height of the capacitor element 1.
