METHOD FOR DRIVING DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY CONTROLLER FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method for driving a display device for making the embodiment of driving software simplified, a display controller for performing the driving method and the display device. SOLUTION: A source driver provides a data signal to a display panel and a gate driver provides a gate signal to the display panel. A memory stores a plurality of drive set values related to the drive of the display device. The display controller stores the drive set values related to the drive of the display device in each upper drive block; and when an image signal and a control signal corresponding to the image signal are provided from a host, extracts the drive set values in each upper drive block so as to control the drive of the source driver and the gate driver. Thus, by setting the overall necessary set values in each block of upper structure at driving and accessing a necessary block at driving, a sequence used repeatedly can be simplified, and the embodiment of the driving software can be simplified.
