<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor that can accurately monitor optical output even if a radiation angle of a light source changes due to fluctuation in the optical output. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor performs at least either recording or reproduction of information to or from a recording medium by irradiating the recording medium with light emitted from the light source, and includes: the light source 1 radiating the light; a condensing element 7 for condensing the light from the light source toward the recording medium; and a detector 5 for receiving a part of the light from the light source. Supposing that in a far-field pattern of the light radiated from the light source, an incident area to the condenser element 7 and an incident area to the detector 5 are defined as an aperture area A and a photosensitive area B, respectively, and that the narrow direction of a radiation angle of the light is defined as the x direction and the wide direction is defined as the y direction, the center of the photosensitive area B in the x direction x is offset with respect to the center of the far-field pattern in the x direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
