1,119,555. Two-part couplings; fusible cut outs. AMP Inc. 19 Aug., 1966 [7 Sept., 1965], No. 38260/65. Headings H2E and H2G. A cartridge fuse 5 is secured in a resilient insulating housing 1 by two spaced pairs of tab connectors, the forward blade portions 3 of each pair gripping an end cap 11 of the fuse between them (Fig. 2, not shown), and one or two similar tab connectors 26 are secured in a housing 2 and, on mating of the housings 1 and 2, engage the ends of one or both fuse end caps 11. Preferably the housing 2 contains two spaced pairs of connectors with the blades 26 of each pair in staggered back-to-back relation so that a dimple 9 on the end of each forward blade 26 can engage a fuse end cap 11. Detents 6 and 7 on the blades 3, 26 engage shoulders, e.g. 20, 21 in the housings 1 and 2, the blades 3, 26 being crimped to leads, e.g. 25. A hood 12 on housing 1 externally receives a hood 17 on the housing 2, the housings being latched together by engaging lances 15 and an apertured flange 16. The housing 1 is formed with internal projections 10 which embrace the fuse 5, and an apertured mounting flange (30).
