There is provided a configuration of an information recording medium containing a number of contents capable of performing use management of each segmented content. As a division region of stored contents in the information recording medium, a plurality of content management units are set so as to correspond to the title, index information, and the like. A unit key as a different encryption processing key is correlated to each of the content management units and stored as encryption data to which a unit key corresponding to each content management unit is applied, for content real data contained at least in the content management unit. Upon reproduction of a content, the unit is identified and decoding is performed by using a unit key corresponding to the unit before reproduction. In an information recording medium containing a number of contents, it is possible to perform use management for each of the segmented contents.
