PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection method for an HA remote operation system and device which performs always on the safe side and enables to detect abnormality even if there is a failure such as breakage and short circuit at the HA terminal. SOLUTION: In the case of a failure mode 1 (control line break), a communication error occurs because a controller 3 cannot send pulse signals to an HA stove 4. In the case of a failure mode 2 (control line short), a monitor signal is kept ON, and a control center 2 sends an error message to a portable terminal 7, because the control signal is kept High regardless of the extinguish instruction from the control center 2. In the case of a failure mode 3 (monitor signal line short) and failure mode 4 (stove operation stop, monitor signal short), the controller 3 sends the pulse signals, but the monitor signal is kept ON so that the control center 2 can detect the failure of the HA terminal system.
