PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval method and device enabling a user to easily find out a desired document by showing a retrieval result so as to be recognizable at a glance. SOLUTION: The document retrieval method and device for instructing a retrieval condition to retrieve a corresponding document comprise a document holding part holding a plurality of documents, a first acquired history holding part holding the history of acquisition of documents through a retrieval result screen, a second acquired history holding part holding the history of acquisition of documents with direct designation of a place by a specified user; and a point calculation part calculating points to be assigned to one or more documents retrieved by instructed retrieval means.
