The invention concerns a monoclonal antibody directed against the CD20 antigen, whereof the variable region of each of the light chains is encoded by a sequence having at least 70 % identity with the murine nucleic acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 5, the variable region of each of the heavy chains is encoded by a sequence having at least 70 % identity with the murine nucleic acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 7 and the constant regions of light chains and of heavy chains are constant regions derived from a non-murine species. The invention also concerns the use of said antibody to activate Fc?RIII receptors of immune effector cells, and for making a drug, in particular for treating leukemia or a lymphoma.
