PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an anti-fall measures for housing furniture while a wall, a column, a ceiling or the like in a room is not spoiled. SOLUTION: A fixture for receiving a plate is connected to an end of a screw shaft and the screw shaft is screwed into a rasp-cut female screw embedded on the top plate of the furniture. A plate is put on it for pressing the ceiling. The plate is forced up by up and down adjustment of the screw, effecting an anti-fall with a frictional force between the plate and the ceiling. Even when the furniture used for a long period descends under its own load or the like, a spring built in the fixture effectively keeps bracing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
