PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cosmetics using useful peptide and amino acid obtained from eel and eel-processing residue, well adapting itself to the skin and giving smoothness. SOLUTION: Eel and eel-processing residue comprising backbone and meat adhered thereon, heads, bowels and the like are treated by enzymolysis, enzyme and unreacted protein are separated from water-soluble peptide and amino acid by using a pore diffusion type membrane separation device, low molecular peptide and amino acid components are obtained by filtering water-soluble components or by membrane filtering, and, after treated by condensation/deodorization step, the obtained is compounded in cosmetics.
