PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire pump stably and surely discharging water without mixing residual air at a first water discharge by entirely removing the residual air incompletely exhausted by the sucking operation of a vacuum pump and the residual air entering along with the water pumping from a water discharge side from an outlet automatic check valve to a water discharge cock when completing the water pumping, opening the water discharge cock and discharging water. SOLUTION: This fire pump is so formed that the vacuum pump 3 of a pump body 1 and a water suction side are communicated together by a water suction side suction pipe 10 having a water stop valve or the check valve 13, and the vacuum pump 3 and the water discharge side from the outlet automatic check valve 7 to the water discharge cock 8 are communicated together by a discharge side suction pipe 22. This fire pump is provided with an electric valve 28 for water stop in the discharge side suction pipe 22b. An exhaust pipe 27 is provided in the discharge side suction pipe 22a in the downstream side of electric valve 28 for the water stop via an exhaust check valve 26.
