PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by extracting a video for each housed disk and obtaining a digest video showing a list of contents of each disk. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a playing back means for reading track data from a recording medium having a plurality of track data of moving image or audio recorded therein, an image output control means for executing control so as to display image data representing the plurality of track data recorded in the recorded medium to be played back by the playing back means in areas obtained by dividing one and the same picture into a plurality of areas and allocated to the plurality of track data, an operation means for selecting predetermined track data from the image data representing the track data on one and the same picture displayed by the image output control means, and a control means for controlling the track selected by the operation means to be played back.
