<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, image processing method, and program enabling an increase in the number of objects of which positions and postures can be updated regularly without outstandingly degrading the smoothness of a displayed image even when visual points and view directions change at any time in a virtual three-dimensional space. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus displays the image of the virtual three-dimensional space in which a plurality of objects and viewpoints are placed viewed from the viewpoint. The image processing apparatus comprises the object selection part which selects some of the plurality of objects based on the distances between the viewpoints and respective positions of the plurality of objects or the like, and the status update part which updates the respective statuses of the objects selected by the object selection part in the virtual three-dimensional space with different time intervals from the respective statuses of other objects in the virtual three-dimensional space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
