<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where the erroneous attachment of a unit is recognized in an early stage by a user or the like, and an image forming system. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has; the unit attachable to an image forming apparatus main body and having a handle for locking the unit in the image forming apparatus main body when the unit is attached to the image forming apparatus main body; and an erroneous attachment preventing part for preventing the erroneous attachment of the unit by regulating the movement of the handle when the unit is not attached at a prescribed position in the image forming apparats main body, and allowing the movement of the handle when it is attached at the prescribed position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
