<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppressing the erosion of a metal separator for fuel cells by making a part of water used for power generation reaction and cooling of fuel cells penetrate into a clearance between a separator base and coated materials. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a metal separator for fuel cells comprises the steps of: coating an erosion-resistance and conductive material 5 at top and bottom regions on the outer surface of each of channels that are formed inside a separator base 7; and coating an erosion-resistance, water-shedding and non-conductive material 6 in a region other than the region coated with the erosion-resistance and conductive material on the each channel formed inside the separator base 7; wherein each end of the non-conductive material 6 coated to the separator 7 is coated so as to cover a corresponding end of the conductive material 5, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
