<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a touch panel mounted along the image display surface of a liquid crystal display panel, which can prevent the occurrence of ripple-shaped display unevenness caused by pressing operation while making the width of an image non-display region located at the periphery of the image display surface small. <P>SOLUTION: A taper part 11 is provided along the inner edge 11a of a bezel cover 1 so as to form a gap from a liquid crystal display panel 2 on the basis of new knowledge that ripple-shaped display unevenness can be prevented if an inner side is prevented from being directly pressed by sealing material 21. Namely, the taper part 11 in the shape obtained by chamfering an edge at the side of the liquid crystal display panel 2 is provided at the position of an inner edge 11a of the bezel cover 1. In the case of dimensional design, a distance D1+D2 from the foot 11c of the taper part 11 to an inner edge 21a of the sealing material 21 is set smaller than assembling tolerance between them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
