PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize an output destination of image data representing the image of an original at a glance, in a scanner capable of storing image data of a memory card and outputting to a computer device. SOLUTION: An image data output destination display area 21 is provided on the display screen 20 of a scanner. When a memory card is loaded in the scanner, the memory card is displayed on the display area 21 and, when a computer device is connected, the computer device is displayed there. When an output destination of image data is designated, the display of the designated output destination is surrounded by a frame 60.
