<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery in which low temperature characteristics can be improved without losing cycle properties of the lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery has in a container a positive electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium ions, a negative electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium ions, a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an organic electrolytic solution.
