A liquid-resistant protection comprises a sleeve (1) of a waterproof polymer film, having an open end (2a); and an adhesive layer (3) arranged on an outside section of the sleeve directly adjoining the open end, to seal the open end of the sleeve. The sleeve section having the adhesive layer, preferably runs over half the circumference of the sleeve. The adhesive layer preferably is a double-sided adhesive tape. The liquid-resistant protection comprises two open ends, or one open end and one closed end (2b). The liquid-resistant protection further comprises an elongate sealing strip having one surface provided with an adhesive layer; and a venting valve for removing air included in the liquid-resistant protection. Independent claims are included for the following : (1) producing the liquid-resistant protection around an extremity, involving introducing the extremity into the sleeve, tightening the open end of sleeve around the extremity so that excess material forms a flap, bending the flap towards outer side of the sleeve, and adhering the flap to the outer side of the sleeve by the adhesive layer to seal the open end of sleeve; and (2) a set of parts for forming the liquid-resistant protection, comprising the sleeve with an open ends, the adhesive layer arranged on the sleeve, and the elongate sealing strip. |
