摘要

FIELD: foundry, namely manufacture of hollow sections of uniform cross section by continuous casting in horizontal type casting machines. ^ SUBSTANCE: cooling fluid is fed at side of metal receptacle to inner cavity of mandrel through heat insulated pipeline. Compressed air subjected to adiabatic expansion in cavity of mandrel and emitting out of nozzle of feeding pipeline is used as cooling fluid. Surface layer in inner cavity of mandrel is strengthened by thermal-diffusion plating. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety of casting machine operation. ^ 1 dwg
