Red phosphorus is added to PVC in an amount between 0À3 and 10 parts by wt. per 100 parts of resin to prevent after-glow after burning. It is particularly useful in compositions containing up to 50 parts of carbon black. Antimony trioxide may also be added and the exemplified compositions are stabilized with lead stearate. |
