The subject matter is substantially as that disclosed in Specification 1,200,779, but the claims are concerned with an apparatus for the regeneration of fluidised solids catalyst including means 14 to introduce unregenerated catalyst leading downwardly and directly into the regeneration chamber, and a draw off hopper, 31 or 32, in open communication at its top above the opening 22, the draw off hopper containing at least one aperture 34 or 35.
