PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system for a railroad vehicle which is high in redundancy for quickly constructing a network and a railroad vehicle using this transmission system. SOLUTION: In this transmission system for a railroad vehicle equipped with a plurality of transmission ports and a transmission path connecting transmitters for transmitting data received from any port to the necessary transmission port based on a predetermined instruction for transferring the data in the railroad vehicle through a network, the transmitter is provided with a transmission repeater system controller for controlling the transmission port, a transmission station for transmitting/receiving the data with the transmission port, a compartment number setting unit for setting the compartment number of each vehicle and an organizing number setting unit for setting the organizing number of a train at the leading vehicle. Each transmitter receives the organizing number information from the leading vehicle, and combines it with the compartment number information of the compartment number setting unit, and sets a transmission station address in the transmitter.
