PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator for maintaining foods moisturizing performance by effectively increasing humidity in the refrigerator, for keeping foods fresh by preventing the oxidation thereof, and for sanitarily preserving the foods by removing odors in the refrigerator. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a humidity control member 10 using a honeycomb structure as a base material, a heat exchanger 6, and a blower 7. The humidity control member 10 is installed on the lower side of the heat exchanger 6. Thereby, frost is thawed during defrosting the heat exchanger 6 and water is absorbed by the humidity control member 10. The honeycomb structure increases a water absorption area and reduces air flow resistance, and so a great amount of water is absorbed and efficiently and quickly released with an air flow.
