摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the focused state of an object or a distance up to the object by appropriately performing arithmetic processing in accordance with the object detecting state of each pixel array. SOLUTION: A sensor array constituting an AF sensor is constituted of three pixel arrays where a plurality of sensor pixels are arranged. In the case the detection of the 1st pixel array is similar to that of the 2nd pixel array, and also, in the case one and the same defocusing quantity are detected, the signals of respective pixel arrays are synthesized, correlative calculation is performed and the image deviation is calculated. And also, in the case the detection of the 2nd pixel array is similar to that of the 3rd pixel array, and also, in the case one and the same defocusing quantity are detected, the signals of respective pixel arrays are synthesized, correlative calculation is performed and the image deviation is calculated. And the obtained image deviation are averaged and employed as the image deviation for focusing. Whereas, in the case respective pixel arrays are not similar to one another, and also, in the case of not detecting one and the same defocusing quantity, the pixel signals of respective pixel arrays are separately read out, and the correlative calculation is individually performed and the image deviation is calculated, and the image deviation of the pixel array showing the closest one among the calculated image deviation is employed as the image deviation for focusing.
