PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack management device that can prevent the occurrence of a malfunction caused by equalization operation at the detection of overcharge and over-discharge or at the detection of disconnection, while avoiding the complication of a circuit configuration and an increase in circuit power consumption. SOLUTION: When disconnections of connecting lines L1 to L5 of a battery pack 1 are detected, the equalization operation by an equalization circuit 8 and the use of an overcharge/over-discharge signal outputted by an overcharge/over-discharge detection circuit 9 are stopped, or the equalization operation of the equalization circuit 8 is stopped when the disconnection is detected, and the overcharge and over-discharge caused by the overcharge/over-discharge detection circuit 9 are detected. By this, mutual adverse affects can be eliminated among the overcharge/over-discharge detection operation, the equalization operation, and the disconnection detection operation.
