PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finish a binder into an inexpensively afforded tool suppressing manufacture cost by multilaterally devising convenience of both movement and housing in addition to a reduction in heavy labor. SOLUTION: A compression type binder is designed as follows. Hard-to-bind materials such as branches of horticultural trees or fruit trees are placed on a body and compressed with an arm by utilizing the principle of a lever in order to solve the problems. The hard-to-bind materials are pressurized with the ratchet type working machine equipped with a spring and detent pawls to temporarily suppress the spread of the branches in order to keep the compressed state thereof. When the binding operation is completed, the detent pawls can readily be removed with a pedal and the bound materials can be taken out of the apparatus. Horticultural work or forestry is work requiring much labor. There is disposal of pruned and cut branches as one of the factors. The branches have rich elasticity and trouble in the work bundling the branches while compressing the branches requiring great physical strength is eliminated.
