PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which has no risk of lowering a printing quality by the use of a printing head whose use limit is exceeded. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer is equipped with an ink residual quantity detecting means 150 which detects each ink residual quantity of a plurality of ink tanks 5a-8a loaded on a plurality of head units 5-8, an ink-short tank specifying means 150 which specifies on the basis of the detection result of the ink residual quantity detecting means 150 of the ink tanks 5a-8a short of ink wherein the ink residual quantity of the ink tanks 5a-8a is not larger than a first predetermined amount, a head spoiling means 121 which makes unusable printing heads 5b-8b constituted integrally with the ink tanks 5a-8a short of ink, and a printing data changing means 150 which changes and transfers printing data to be printed by the printing heads 5b-8b made unusable to the other printing heads 5b-8b.
