<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-speed recording and to attain high thermal stability of a recording mark, in a multilayer optical recording medium having two or more recording layers. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 has a first information layer 14 and a second information layer 18.
